High performance, high technologies high durability. The only thing that is not Hy in this binding is its weight.
No sweat transitions
Smooth and immediate transitions between ascent and descent modes, with no need for extra components or interchangeable parts.
High toe arms for ascent
Low toe arms for descent
Three walking modes
-18mm
When used without heel raisers, it allows the boot heel to drop slightly below the toe level. This 18mm difference enhances stride extension and walking efficiency during long and flat approach.
This design is especially beneficial for skiers using freeride boots with a cuff that offers limited mobility.
+10mm
The Hy also features two heel raisers for easier uphill progress, both activated easily even with the pole.
The first one gives a similar "flat" sensation.
+34mm
The Hy also features two heel raisers for easier uphill progress, both activated easily even with the pole.
The second heel raiser is useful on the steeper sections of the ascent.
Flat skiing
In ski mode, the boot sits flat on the ski, eliminating the rear-front pin height differential typical of standard pin bindings. This design delivers an alpine-like feel and performance.
Heel clamps
The heel clamps, inspired by the alpine system, offers a spectacular sense of control and precision.
Adjustable AFD
Correct Anti Friction Device (AFD) adjustment is essential for compatibility with various sole types. To achieve this, we have developed specific spacers that fit between the sliding section of the AFD and its underlying structure.
Compatiblity
The Hy is compatible with most alpine skiing, ski mountaineering, and freeride boots. Thinner plastic soles provide a stiff connection with the binding. For this reason, we designed softer spacers that also serve to dampen vibrations. Thicker rubber soles require little to no spacers, as their rubber composition inherently provides vibration absorption.

Transitioning to ascent mode requires three simple actions: pull the rear lever completely forward, lock the ski brake by pushing on the pedal and rotate the toe arms upward.
Press the front lever to open the toe arms, creating space to insert the boot tip. Insert the boot tip and pull the front lever
upward to lock the toe.
After pushing the rear lever backward to activate the ski brake, press the front lever to step out of the toe piece.
Push the rear lever fully downward and rotate the toe arms toward the front lever to set the binding to descent mode. Then,
simply step-in like you do on a traditional alpine ski binding.

When I first saw the prototype for the Hy, I was like, ‘Holy hell.’ Alpine performance in the downhill, with that ATK weight for the uphill.
With its incredibly low weight and exceptional downhill performance, this binding is a dream come true for skiers like me. During the ascent, all I can think about is how amazing the descent will be.
Thanks to the advanced technologies in the AFD system and the flat position for downhill, this binding offers exceptional carving precision and performance, giving skiers the confidence to push their limits on any terrain, even in the resort.
