Frontal Ski Brake:
One of the standout features of the Front 12 is its distinctive frontal ski brake. Unlike traditional bindings, this brake activates even in case of a release during the ascent phase, providing an additional layer of safety. Moreover, skiers can immediately activate the ski brake when voluntarily releasing from the toe piece, ensuring automatic brake activation during every moment after the release. This design enhances safety and control throughout your free touring adventures.
Heel Piece:
Cam Release System. ATK’s signature patented system that contributes to an effortless step-in and grants amazing torsional stiffness.
Elastic Response System. This ensures precise releases and optimal skis performances by facilitating their natural flex, enhancing downhill performances.
Magneto Heel Flaps. Two carefully designed heel flaps to provide a higher touring comfort. They can be easily managed with poles thanks to an ingenious combination of two magnets.
Up to 25mm of length adjustment.
Both lateral and vertical release value are adjustable.
Toe Piece:
Snowpack Proof System. This prevents snow and ice debris from accumulating under the mobile parts of the toe piece.
Easy Entry System. When you’re on a hurry and don’t want to miss any precious second it’s better to have a toe piece designed to facilitate an immediate step-in.
Integrated rampant support.
Performing Through Lightness:
Our foundation, our roots. ATK took its first steps in this industry by developing lightweight race bindings, and now, as then, lightness is key to achieving what athletes crave: speed. Therefore, it's easy to understand why “performance through lightness” has been the mantra that has accompanied ATK's growth in its early years.
As our role in the ski mountaineering universe started to evolve, we needed some stabilization because it's easy to lose control during a phase of growth, just as it is easy to get caught up in the events. That's why we decided to keep our roots stable, not changing our approach to the activity, and ultimately not getting in our own way.
In fact, as we expanded our catalogue to include the speed touring, touring, and free touring categories, we remained steadfast in our commitment to enabling an ever-wider range of ski mountaineers to achieve performance through lightness.
Durability:
Crafted from high-quality materials and engineered to withstand the rigors of backcountry skiing, the Front 12 offers exceptional durability and reliability. The carefully machined components and thoughtful construction ensure longevity to this tech binding, providing peace of mind during your most demanding adventures.
